Gap personnel group have an exciting opportunity for skilled butchers in Yetminster, Dorset  area. This vacancy is to join our client who is one of Europe's leading agricultural food businesses.

Job Title: Skilled Butchers Required

Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time

Business Area: Production/ Manufacturing

Location: Yetminster, Dorset (a global supplier of fresh lamb products)

Salary: Depending on experience 100% skill £29K & 80% skill £23.5K

(Paid weekly, and depends upon skill level & productivity targets)

Hours of Work: Average weekly hours 45, Monday to Friday, 07.00 am start until approx. 17:00

Holiday Entitlement: 21 days plus 7 Bank Holidays

Qualification Requirements: Ideally Basic English Literacy and Basic Numeracy Skills (ESOL Entry Level 2)

Knowledge: Previous fast pace factory experience desirable

Skills: Be enthusiastic and conscientious, with the ability to learn and work as part of a team. Happy to work in a food processing environment and ensuring quality and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times. Be comfortable wearing personal protective equipment, and follow instructions from the management team.

Duties:

To ensure that carcasses are dressed and trimmed according to customer specifications as directed by the production management

To ensure that work is completed to production deadlines and in accordance with food safety regulations and any other legislation in force and relevant at the time
