Management Accountant

For our Client, FP McCann - the UK’s market leader in the manufacture, supply and delivery of precast concrete solutions we’re currently looking for Candidates for the challenging role of Management Accountant to be based in Grantham (United Kingdom).

Management Accountant

Location: Grantham (UK)

Key responsibilities:

• Reconciliation of monthly management accounts with contract costs.
• Monthly Contract Work in Progress calculations.
• Ensuring that key financial and in-house systems are accurate and adequately maintained at depot level including providing cover for accounts colleagues.
• Delivery of continuous improvement initiatives and various ad hoc projects.
• Contract performance reporting against estimates.
• Ensuring that key financial and in-house systems are accurate and adequately maintained at depot level including providing cover for accounts colleagues.
• Ensure compliance with the Company’s policies including Health & Safety.
• Ensure that all relevant contract costs are captured.
• Provide contract feedback and support to estimating, surveying and commercial colleagues.

Required qualifications:

• Strong experience such as accountancy or quantity surveying qualifications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels
• A good understanding of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong motivation and ability to work on own initiative
• Ability to work calmly under pressure.
• A high level of initiative and critical thinking to formulate business issues into analytical problems and devise actionable solutions.
• Very good English
• Knowledge of Sage accounts packages is welcome
