Paediatrician to Archipelago hospital

Currently we are working with a hospital that is offering both time, reflection and a very stimulating workplace with wonderful colleagues and co workers in a breathtakingly beautiful surrounding in the archipelago – on the island of Åland situated between Stockholm in Sweden and Åbo in Finland.

The clinic is treating children between 0 and 18 years of age and due to the small population of the island of about 30.000 inhabitants in total, the variety of the diagnostics and the different illnesses is very broad – you may also see very rare diseases. The clinic is very well organised and includes both specialised offices for diabetes, eating disorders, children psychiatry as well as an intensive care unit.

The cooperation with the other departments and specialists in the hospital is working very well and the competence among colleagues as well as nurses, physiotherapists, counsellors and all other professionals that are occupied in the hospital – is very high!  The hospital is characterised by a familiar and caring working environment.

The challenge – but also the possibility to develop – is the wide spectra within the field of paediatrics that is represented in the clinic and also the condition that you as a doctor must be able to handle critical situations on your own. The possibilities to enjoy courses, further development and congresses is generous and you chances to grow in your profession – and in your career are promising.

We are looking for a paediatrician who:

would like to work in an environment with a broad spectra of diagnosis´

has some years of experience as a specialist and is able to work independently

is able to take on a big responsibility and is interested in further developing the clinic and the department

has the experience and ability to supervise younger doctors and candidates

has excellent communication- and collaborative
