Back-End Developer

Position:

During the lifetime of a project you meticulously ensure that requirements are kept in mind and you challenge the team when you feel this is not the case. Through your experience, talent and passion you are up-to-date with current standards in use and you are capable of quickly mastering new technologies. In doing so we expect you to proactively contribute to:

• Development and improvement of our products
• Delivering a great product with the entire team
• Implementing projects for our internal and external clients

Work experience and knowledge:

• 4 years + experience with backend software development
• 2 years + experience developing scalable server-side Node.js modules
• Experience with building scalable public/private APIs
• REST, JSON, XML
• Relational and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, ElasticSearch)
• Software design knowledge and experience in OOP
• Preferred: Javascript frameworks like BackboneJS or AngularJS
• Preferred: Javascript module loading
• Version control system like Git
• Debugging Tools (Chrome Dev Tools, Firebug, etc.)
• Unit testing experience
• Proven experience with production systems and dealing with production issues
• Preferred: Hands-on experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS), tools, API, automation, deployment
• Preferred: Knowledge of AWS tools (SQS, STS, Cognito)
• Preferred: active in the Node.js open source community
