The Powertrain System Business Group offers a complete range of innovative products to reduce CO2 emissions while maintaining the pleasure of driving. Hardware Engineers power electronics m/w
Sites in France and Germany
Under the responsibility of the Hardware Team Leader and as a member of the project team, you are in charge of the hardware development of embedded power electronics, the solidity of the products and the application of the standards. Valeo's positioning on innovative products meets cost, time, product size and robustness constraints. You will then need to be creative and challenge the existing.
Therefore, your main missions will be:
• Define the hardware architecture and apply it at electronics block level.
• Establish the specifications in accordance with the design required.
• Define product specifications with suppliers (in the case of new components).
• Manage design changes in agreement with the Product Technical Leader and the team members and update the definition files under Product Life Management (PLM).
• Prepare design tests, complete the checklist and validate prototype testing.
• Carry out industrial test specifications and ask for expert support when needed.
• Participate in the development of material costs and ensure good liaison with other project teams.
• Enforce standards for methodologies and product solutions
• Organize design testing and provide all necessary reports to the project.
You have an engineering diploma or a Master’s degree (Bac+5) with a specialty in power electronics and you have at least 3 years’ experience in embedded power electronics, converter and MOSFET. An experience in the automotive industry or in a similar field (Aeronautics, railways…) is a plus. You ideally master simulation tools (SIMetrix, FEMM, Minitab, Flotherm).
